Students in class 10 or above can apply for a loan of up to Rs 10 lakh under this scheme for higher education. They will be able to obtain this loan at a very cheap interest rate of 4.00%. Students will receive a credit card in order to take advantage of this loan. Students can withdraw the loan money with the use of this credit card. This initiative is open to all students who have lived in West Bengal for the previous ten years. Loans are available under this plan for undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral studies in India or abroad.

The application procedure will be completed in two parts i.e. Registration and Login

Registration:-

• First, visit the Official Website of the West Bengal Student Credit Card Scheme
• The home page will open on your screen.
• On the homepage, click on Student Registration.
• The registration form will appear on your screen.
• Here, enter all the required information in the registration form, like:-
  • Applicant name
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Aadhar number
  • Program type
  • Program name
  • State of institution
  • District of institution
  • Name of institution
  • Mobile number
  • Email ID
  • Password etc
• After completing the above process, click on the register option.
• Now a unique ID will be generated and it will be sent to your registered mobile number.
• This unique ID will be used as a user ID.

Login:-

• Now, back on the homepage, click on Student Login.
• The login page will open on your screen.
• Here, enter the application ID, password, and captcha code.
• Then, click on the login option.
• Now, the Applicant dashboard will appear on your screen.
• Here, you need to click on the application detail.
• After that, click on the edit loan application.
• The application form will appear on your screen.
• Here, enter all the required details in this application form, like:-
  • Personal details
  • Co borrower details
  • Present address details
  • Permanent address details
  • Course and income details
  • Bank details of the student
• After that, click on save and continue.
• Then, upload the required documents, like:-
  • Latest color photograph of the student.
  • The latest color photograph of the co-applicant.
  • Signature of the student as specified.
  • Co-borrower address proof.
  • Signature of the overawe legal guardian.
  • Student’s Aadhar card.
  • Students’ PAN card or undertaking as specified.
  • Co-borrower PAN card or undertaking as specified.
  • Admission receipt of the institution.
  • Class 10th board registration certificate.
• After that, click on save and continue.
• Then, a new page will appear on your screen.
• Finally, click on the submit option.
• Now, a dialogue box will appear on your screen, asking you if you want to confirm to submit or not.
• Here, click on Yes.
