West Bengal Student Internship Scheme:-

Both the Central and state governments launched schemes to give various types of advantages to students. Through these schemes, students receive a number of benefits. Such as Internships, skill development programs, educational loans, scholarships, and other advantages. West Bengal’s government has also developed a similar program known as the West Bengal Student Internship Scheme. Internships will be available to students through this program. West Bengal Student Internship Scheme

West Bengal, Government has introduced the West Bengal Student Internship Scheme 2023. Internships in government departments would be available to West Bengal students under this initiative. This scheme was launched on January 31, 2022. All students who will receive an internship under this initiative will receive Rs 5000 per month. 6000 interns who have finished their undergraduate studies will get incentives from the government. This scheme will be in effect for 1 year. Interns will work at government offices in district subdivisions and blocks. Students will be assigned to posts closer to their homes. This internship will be reviewed once it has been completed successfully.

Internship Scheme Objective

The main goal of the WB Student Internship Scheme is to offer students internships so that they may understand how government departments work. This program will also assist students in finding employment because, upon completion of this training, an internship certificate, rating, and grading will be offered. The government would also offer the interns Rs 5000 per month to assist them financially. Under the initiative, the government would grant internships to 6,000 students each year. Students who perform well will be eligible to continue their further.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
• The applicant should not be more than 40 years old.
• The applicant must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Students of polytechnic, ITI, or equivalent courses will also be covered.
