Odisha NUA-O Scholarship:-

The Odisha government intends to provide scholarships to students studying general and postgraduate degree programs under the Nua-O program. The chairperson of the Nabin Odisha program and the 5T (transformational initiative) introduced the Nua-O scholarship to students on Tuesday at the “Nu-O festival” in Jajpur. Children have possibilities for continuous skill development, reskilling, and upskilling under the (NUA) Odisha initiative. Odisha NUA-O Scholarship 2024

NUA-O Scholarship was launched at a cabinet meeting on February 12th. The Odisha government has decided to start the Nua-O scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students in advance of the next Lok Sabha and assembly elections. Additionally, the government announced that it will award yearly scholarships to 4,50,000 undergraduate and 32,000 graduate students attending state universities, government- and non-government-aided colleges, including aided Sanskrit colleges under the Higher Education department. Through this scholarship, scholars will receive annual scholarships worth between ₹9,000 and ₹11,000 from the government.

NUA-O Scholarship Objective

Through the Nua-O initiative, the Odisha government is prepared to provide scholarships to students pursuing general and postgraduate degrees. The main goal of the Nutana Unnata Abhilasha (NUA) Odisha initiative is youth empowerment. The boys will receive 9000 Rs, while the girls will be eligible for 10,000. Since Odisha is the first state in the nation to put such a scheme into place, almost 95% of its students will earn scholarships.

Odisha NUA-O Scholarship Benefits

• The Odisha government has chosen to provide the Nua-O scholarship to undergraduate and graduate students.
• Under the program, boy students will receive Rs 9,000, while girl-students will receive Rs 10,000.
• Boy students from Nirman Shramik (construction workers) and SC/ST households will receive Rs 10,000 annually. While girl-students from the same home will receive Rs 11,000 annually.

NUA-O Scholarship Apply Date

Regarding the scholarship application deadline, the Odisha government has not released any official information. The government has disclosed the date of the scholarship disbursement, nevertheless. All of the chosen students will receive the NUA O Scholarship from the government between February 20 and February 25.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must be a resident of Odisha state.
• Applicant must be either a graduate or postgraduate student.
• Children whose parents pay income taxes or who work for the government permanently will not be eligible for this scholarship program.

• Aadhaar number of the student
• Bonafide student certificate from Institute/School.
• Scanned copy of Bank passbook
