Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Registration

Gruha Lakshmi Scheme is a flagship program to empower and strengthen the women of the state. It was introduced by the state Congress president D.K. Shivakumar before the 2023 Assembly elections. Under this scheme, financial support of Rs 2000 per month will be provided to women who are the heads of their households. Housewives, landless women, and agricultural workers women are eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme

Along with this scheme, the Karnataka government will provide free skill development training to the one lakh women of the state, under Shram Shakti Yojana. So that women can become self-sufficient and empowered by learning new skills.

The financial assistance is directly credited to the beneficiary bank accounts, so it is mandatory to have an active bank account to avail of the benefits of this scheme.

Latest New: Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Registration

On Tuesday(6 June 2023), the Karnataka government issued guidelines for the Gruha Lakshmi scheme to benefit women who are identified as heads of families in Antyodaya, BPL, or APL cards of the household.

One requirement for qualifying is that neither the wife nor her husband must file a GST return or pay income taxes. The Government Order stated that anyone who provides false information shall face punishment.

One lady per family will be eligible for the program, as previously announced, and registration will be available both online and offline between June 15, 2023, and July 15, 2023, and will be officially launched on Independence Day 15th Aug.

On Saturday, Karnataka Women and Child Welfare Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar announced that the registration for Gruha Lakshmi Yojana will start on July 19 2023.

The objectives of the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme are:

To empower the woman head of a household in the state.
To provide monetary assistance of Rs 2000 per month to the beneficiary for day-to-day expenses.

Benefits Of Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme

Under the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme, financial assistance of rs 2000 will be provided to the women head of the family.
Women can use assistance to meet their basic needs such as food, shelter, clothes, and healthcare. It acts as a safety net for people who are unable to make ends meet.
Free Skill training will be provided under Shram Shakti Yojana, they will get knowledge and expertise in a particular field.

Eligibility Criteria

Women must be permanent residents of the state of Karnataka.
Applicants must not own any land in order for their Gruha Lakshmi Yojana
This scheme will benefit women who fall into the BPL category.
Government employees are not eligible for the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme.

Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Registration

Eligible women can register online for the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme online as well as offline. Beneficiaries can apply online through the seva Sindhu portal and to register offline, the applicants can visit the assigned centre in their locality. Registration will be done free of cost at the centres.

The state government also said that they will soon start the door-to-door registration process to register the beneficiaries.

If you are new to the portal then click on the New User Register Here link or else login into the portal.
After completing the registration process and then login into the portal.
Now on the search bar type Gruha Lakshmi Yojana’ and click on search. (Currently not available. This option to apply will be available from 15 July)
Now Karnataka Gruhalakshmi Application Form pdf will be on your screen and you can download it.
Now take the print-out of it and fill in all the details asked in the Gruhalakshmi Application Form pdf.
Attach the mentioned documents with the application form and submit the application it at Karnataka Gram One Centre or the respective district’s Assistant Director of Women and Child Development office.

Now the Gruhalaxhmi application form online will be open on your screen.
Fill in all the details asked in the application form, and upload the required documents.
After completing the application recheck it once again and after verifying the details click on submit.
