The admission process of students joining Higher Secondary (HS) First Year courses in various Assamese institutions for the academic year 2024-2025 will be managed through the Assam Darpan portal. The registration process will start in the first week of April and only students who have completed the admission process through the Darpan portal will be able to complete it. According to AHSEC, students can apply online at www.darpan.ahseconline.in to be considered for admission to many different institutions. Darpan Portal Assam 2024
Several institutions in Assam will manage the Higher Secondary (HS) First Year Course admissions process through the DARPAN portal for the 2023–2024 academic year. You can access the site from May 29 until June 17, 2023. Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) released this information on Thursday. As per the AHSEC, no institution will conduct admissions offline. The registration period for the academic year 2023–2024 will open the first week of August 2023. The completion of the registration procedure will only be available to students who have successfully completed the admissions process via the DARPAN portal.

Guidelines for Students
The following instructions are given to Students:-
- A candidate must submit their application using the DARPAN Portal.
- A student’s profile can only be updated once before the institution confirms their applications.
- A student may submit a maximum of five applications.
- Through the Darpan portal, students will be able to see the published selection list and waiting list for admission in high School first year. Students will receive an SMS with their selection.
- As soon as the Selection List is made public, students are advised to use their login ID on the site to accept just one admission that the university offers for admission.
- Following approval of the application, a student cannot transfer to another university.
- Enrollment in the relevant institution within the designated time period is a prerequisite for the completion of the admissions process.
- Students will have the option to switch subjects or streams at the time of admission, and the concerned institution must update this information on the portal on that day.
Guidelines for Institutions
The following are the instructions given to the Institutions:
- The schools are required to ensure that online verification is a part of the admissions process for the HS First Year program. After receiving the applications, the concerned institution will not be able to verify the submitted application.
- Following the verification of the applications, the appropriate institutions will create the Selection List and Waiting List for admission to the first year of high school.
- On the website (www.dapan.ahsec.in), students can view the selection list and waiting list for admission. Students will also get an SMS informing them of their choice.
- The appropriate Institution will need to update the selection list on a regular basis as openings on the waiting list or when student acceptance of admission changes.
- Latest by June 17, 2023, when a selected student accepts the admission offer of the institutes, the institutes will have to use their institute login ID every day of the admission process. After that, they have to click on the “Confirm Admission” option on the portal to complete the admission process.
- The University can only confirm an applicant’s acceptance if they have accepted an offer of admission. We strongly recommend that all relevant institutions personally inspect each paperwork submitted by applicants.
- A student’s desired subject(s) or stream may only be changed by an institution at the time of admission with the student’s proper authorization, and the institution in question must update this information in the portal on the day of admission.
- Only with the proper consent of the student, an institution can change the preferred subject or stream of the student at the time of admission. The concerned institute is also required to update the portal with the updated information on the day of admission.
- Furthermore, modifications or adjustments to a student’s stream and topics will be available through the DARPAN site even after the admissions process is finished. However, students cannot change their stream or subject(s) after completing their registration in full.
- The concerned school may, at its discretion, remove students who have not accepted the admission offer within the specified timeframe from the Selection List. Therefore, the institution will be permitted to enroll new students from the waiting list when applications are withdrawn from the selection list.
- Institutions cannot admit students without getting their permission.
- The DARPAN site does not allow students from other universities to enroll.
- In the case that students submit the wrong documents, the concerned institution will be allowed to upload the right documents as supplied by the students.
Assam DARPAN Portal HS 1st Year Online Admission Application Process
- First, visit the Official Website of the Assam DARPAN i.e., https://darpan.ahseconline.in/
- The homepage will open on your screen.
- On the homepage, go to the student admission option.
- A new page will be displayed on your screen.
- If you are not registered yet, click on the ” Don’t have account? Click here to register a new account ” option.
- After that, enter the registration details in the application form and registered yourself.
- After successful registration, click on the student admission option.
- A new page will be open on your screen.
- Here, enter the 10 digit mobile number, date of birth, and four digit pin.
- After That, click on the login option.
- Now, enter the details in the application form for admission.
- Finally, click on the submit option.
How to Register New Institution
- First, visit the official website of the Assam DARPAN i.e., https://darpan.ahseconline.in/
- The homepage will open on your screen.
- On the homepage, click on the Login tab.
- Now, the login page will open on your screen.
- Here, click on the New Institution Registration.
- A new page will open on your screen.
- Here, enter all the required details like:-
- Name of the Institution
- District
- Address
- Post Office
- Village/Ward/Town
- PIN No
- Sub Division
- Name of the Principal
- Official Email ID, etc
- After that, upload all the required documents
- Then, enter the password for login and then accept the declaration
- Finally, click on the Register button to complete the registration procedure.
Institution Login
- First of all, go to the official website of the Assam DARPAN.
- The homepage will open on your screen.
- On the homepage, click on the Login tab.
- Now, the login page will open on your screen.
- Here, enter your Institution Code or Verified Mobile Number and the Password.
- Finally, click on the login as Institution button to get logged in.
