On 2nd August 2021 the School Education Department, Government Of West Bengal has launched the West Bengal Utsashree Portal. Through Utsashree Portal the teacher teaching in West Bengal will be able to apply for their transfer through this portal. They do not have to visit the other government offices to apply for the school transfer through this portal they can apply for it from where any time within a few minutes using a smartphone.
It will reduce corruption in the state, the procedure will the transparent teacher will be able to check their application status and will be able to know the current status of their application. Only those applicants will be able to take advantage of this scheme, who have been working in the current school for at least five years in the current post and have confirmed.

Objective Of Utsashree Portal
The objective of the Utsashree Portal is to provide online services to the teachers of West Bengal applying for the transfer. Through this portal teachers teaching in the state will be able to apply for transfer of school like in earlier days they do not have to visit the government offices themselves. Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for Utsashree Portal are as follows:
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
- The applicant should be serving in the present school in the present post for at least 5 years.
- The age of the applicant should be 59 years or less.
- While applying for transfer to secondary school the place of posting should be more than 25 km.
- Primary teachers are not eligible to apply within the same circle.
- Non-teaching/non-teaching employees will be allowed to apply within 5 years of the last transfer.
- If someone has rejected the transfer order, then that person will not be able to apply again before the completion of 7 years.
- If a teacher is under suspension or facing any disciplinary proceedings or judicial proceedings or charges of financial irregularities, they will not be able to apply for transfer.

The following documents are needed to apply for Utsashree Portal:
- Aadhar Card
- Residence certificate
- Ration card
- Documents relating to illness
- Physical disablement proof.
- Birth certificate of a child for a female teacher
- Distance certificate between places of posting of both spouses.
- Distance certificate between the place of posting and permanent address.
- Passport size photograph
- Mobile number
- Email id
- The size of the document should not exceed 200 KB
How To Apply For Online Transfer Through Utsashree Portal?
- First of all, you have to visit the official website of the School Education Department, Government of West Bengal.

- On the homepage, you have to click on apply for transfer.
- Now click on tick on the check box and click on proceed.
- Now a new form will open on your screen.
- Fill in all the details asked in the application form such as:
- OSMS Type.
- Present School’s Subdivision
- Teacher Unique Code (OSMS 8 Digit Code)
- PAN Card Number.
- Enter the captcha code.
- After filling in all the details click on Login.
Procedure To Check The Application Status
- First of all, you have to visit the official website of the School Education Department, Government of West Bengal.
- On the homepage, you have to click on login.
- Now enter the login credential and then click on login.
- After login into your account, you have to click on the check the application status.
- Now enter your reference number and click on view status.
