Implementation of the Assam Punya Tirtha Scheme

  • The applicant will register and submit their application to the Bank via a specific portal.
  • Alternatively, the candidate may apply online through Mo-Seva Kendra.
  • Upon receipt of the application, the beneficiary’s authorized bank will verify the documents and fields.
  • The bank will assist the applicant in preparing the required simplified DPR during field verification to approve the loan.
  • After approval and the applicant’s deposit of margin funds, the banks will release the loan amount to the applicant. A committee will be established at the State, District, and Block levels to oversee the Scheme’s efficient execution.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a citizen of Assam.
  • The age of the applicant must be between 18 and 35 years.
  • The maximum age restriction for applicants from the SC, ST, or PwD categories is 40 years old.
  • The applicant must have a UDYAM-supported number or have registered.
  • Families covered by the KALIA/BSKY Scheme or having an annual income of less than Rs 2 lakh.
Applicants’ Excluded from Punya Tirtha Yojana
  • Employees and their families who work for the state, central, or any other PSU or legislative body.
  • Defaulter in any bank or financial institution, or having an outstanding loan from a Central or State Government Scheme for the same.
