Gujarat state finance minister Kanubhai Desai announced the Namo Lakshmi Yojana Gujarat. Adolescent girls have an important part in the development of an educated and healthy society since they will become mothers to the next generation of citizens. The Gujarat state government will provide financial assistance to young females in the state through this Yojana. Adolescent females will be able to complete their education up to grade 12 without having to worry about money owing to financial help.

Objective

The government proposes funding ₹1250 crore for this program in 2024-2025.
