Goa Inter-Caste Marriage Scheme
Under this scheme, if one of the newly married couples is of scheduled caste, then they are provided incentive money by the government. For inter-caste marriage, you are provided 2.5 lakh rupees by the government. Earlier this amount was 1 lakh rupees. Which has been increased to 2.5 lakh rupees. The main objective of this scheme is to promote equality in society. The government wants to end the caste system in society and bring social equality in the society. The benefit of this scheme is given only after marriage registration under Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 or Special Marriage Act, 1954.
Goa Incentive Scheme for Scheduled Castes
The inter-caste marriage scheme has been launched by the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of India. Under this scheme, even if a newly married couple is from Dalit (SC) society, they can get benefits under this scheme. Following are the salient features of this scheme.
- It is mandatory for all couples to register under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 to take advantage of this scheme. And it is mandatory to stay together for at least one year.
- Under this scheme, a financial incentive amount of Rs 2.5 lakhs is provided to all couples.
- To take advantage of this scheme, an interracial married couple must apply for encouragement within three years of marriage.
- A fixed deposit (FD) is provided by the government under this scheme
Goa Inter-caste Marriage New Revision under Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Scheme
It has been amended by the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The scheme has been renamed Bhim Rao Ambedkar Yojana. 2.5 lakh rupees are provided under this scheme. For this scheme, the groom or bride of a newly married couple must be from a Dalit society. The family income limit of the applicant under this scheme should be Rs 5 lakh.
This scheme has been launched by the government for social integration. Also, programs are being organized by the Central Government to spread awareness for this scheme at the block level. The present Modi government has taken several steps to end the caste system and endowment (marriage within its community). Through this scheme, the standard of living of the SC / ST community of the society will improve.

After the application of the Goa Interracial Marriage Scheme, one year after the wedding, you will get the relevant authority and all the necessary documents like-
- Aadhaar card of bride and groom
- Marriage certificate
- Caste certificate (both bride and groom)
- Passport size photo of the couple
- Wedding card (optional)
- Witnesses of marriage etc.
