• The Department of College Education, the Government of Rajasthan introduced the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarships For Academic Excellence.
• Under this scheme, the state government will provide financial assistance to the students of Rajasthan who want to study abroad. Students pursuing specified subjects at the undergraduate level, Master’s level, and Ph.D. and post-doctoral research programs are eligible for this scheme.
• To avail of the benefits of this scheme the annual family income of the applicant family should be less than Rs 8 lakhs but if somehow there are still some seats vacant then the applicants with a family income of more than Rs.8 lakh per annum will be eligible to get the scholarship.
• This Year 200 students will get the benefits of this scheme.
• Students will get a scholarship worth 1 crore. Scholarships will be awarded only on the basis of the student’s academic achievements, the institution’s rating the applicant’s performance on the board exam, etc.
• All students who come to the top 150 QS-ranked institutions will receive full tuition.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Rajasthan Rajiv Gandhi Scholarships are as follows:

• The applicant must be a resident of Rajasthan.
• Applicant should have a 12th/bachelor’s/master’s/Ph.D. from a recognized university/board.
• Jan Aadhar is required.
• The age of the applicant should be 35 years by 1 July.
• The annual income of the applicant’s family should be less than Rs 8 lakhs.
• An applicant should be pursuing higher studies abroad in specified subjects at the Undergraduate, Master’s, Ph.D., and Post-doctoral research program levels
• The scholarship is reserved for 30% of female students.
• If applicants with a family income of less than Rs.8 lakh per annum are not available, then applicants with a family income of more than Rs.8 lakh per annum will be eligible to get the scholarship.
• 200 students will be given the scholarship this year.
