For them, the Tripura government has started the Mukhyamantri Chaa Srami Kalyan Prakalpa Yojana. Under this scheme, the state government will provide financial support to the workers.

Mukhyamantri Chaa Srami Kalyan Prakalpa Scheme was launched by the Tripura Government on 10 March 2022. This scheme is for the tea garden workers of Tripura. Under this scheme, the state government will provide housing, rations, and financial support to the tea garden workers. Through this scheme, many other facilities like priority group ration cards, education assistance, electricity, drinking water, health insurance, etc. will be provided to the workers by the government.
To implement this scheme, the state government has allocated Rs 85 cr. This scheme will uplift the condition of 7000 tear garden workers in Tripura.

Objective

- To uplift the economic and social conditions of the tea garden workers.
- To provide basic facilities like education support, electricity, drinking water, houses, pension, etc.
- The workers will become self-dependent.
The benefit of this scheme
- Under the Mukhyamantri Chaa Srami Kalyan Prakalpa Yojana, the Tripura government will provide social security to 7000 tea workers of Tripura.
- Under this scheme, various facilities will be provided to the workers such as housing, education of their children, health insurance, medical facilities, electricity, drinking water, etc.
- An amount of Rs 85 crore has been allocated by the Tripura government for this scheme.
- By the implementation of this scheme, the social and economic conditions of the tea garden workers will improve.
