The government of Kerala has started Parivarthanam Scheme. This scheme is to helps people in coastal and inland fisheries to improve their economic life. Under this scheme, the state government will focus on encouraging methods of fishing that are good for the environment and people will be able to get fish and fish products throughout the year. Parivathanam is a PPP model, an initiative of the Government of Kerala, implemented through the Kerala State Coastal Area Development Corporation in collaboration with the Central Institute of Fisheries Technology.

The scheme will promote the processing and marketing of clean fish and its fresh products. The change will also guarantee a fixed price to the fishermen as fair compensation. It will also provide employment to college dropouts and migrant workers returning home due to COVID-19.
