Tamil Nadu Free Laptop Scheme Apply Online: The Tamil Nadu Free Laptop Distribution scheme is announced by the Tamil Nadu government. This major step is taken by the honorable chief minister of Tamil Nadu i.e. Edappadi K Palaniswami.

The scheme is for the students who have recently passed the board exams i.e. 10th and 12th class. Technology is one of the main assets in this growing world. Our main aim is to build more and empower everybody on this planet by taking this world to a better place. The Tamil Nadu Free Laptop scheme is one of the major contributions to this dream.

Aim of Tamil Nadu Free Laptop Scheme

• The Free Laptop Scheme aims to promote information technology in our young students of a financially backward class so that they grow more in this technical world.
• The Tamil Nadu Free Laptop Yojana aims to enhance technical interests in the young minds of our country.
• The Tamil Nadu Free Laptop Yojana budget outlay for the program is 5 crore.
• The Tamil Nadu government will distribute laptops free of cost to nearly 5 lakh students in 2020-21 at a budget allocation of  949 crores.
• Under the free laptop distribution scheme, a total of 51.67 lakh laptops have so far been distributed to students at a total cost of 7,258 crores from 2011-12 to 2019-2020 (up to February 2020), according to a Policy Note of the Special Programme. Implementation Department, which monitors the implementation of various schemes/programs of the State government.

Documents Required 

• The candidates must have an Aadhar Card.
• School ID is a must for the Candidate applying for the free laptop.
• Caste proof documents to prove eligibility.
• Income Certificate of the family from all sources.
• Resident Proof/Domicile.
• Further admission proof.

Eligibility criteria 

• The candidate must be a native of Tamil Nadu.
• The applicant should have recently passed class 10th and 12th standard examinations from a government or aided reputed school.
• Preference will be given to the Scheduled Caste(SC) and Scheduled Tribe(ST) applicants.

Apply Online for the Tamil Nadu Free Laptop Scheme 

The following steps are provided to apply for the TN free laptop distribution scheme.

• Go to the official website of the Tamil Nadu free laptop distribution scheme i.e. http://117.239.70.115/e2s/LoginAction.htm.

• Fill in the Login details on this page i.e. your User Name, Password, and captcha, and click on the “Login” button.
• In the registration form fill in your credentials.
• Upload the scanned documents i.e. your Aadhar card, student ID, Family Income certificate, resident proof, and caste proof.
• Click on the “Submit” button.
• Print your application form for future purposes.

How to check Beneficiary List

• Open the official website.
• From the home page click the “beneficiary list” option
• Click on it and the PDF file will appear
• Check your name in the list
