Rythu Bandhu Status Telangana 2024

The Telangana government formally began the tenth phase of the Rythu Bandhu investment support scheme for farmers on Wednesday. This phase will see Rs 7,676 crore deposited into the bank accounts of 70.54 lakh farmers for investment support during the Yasangi season. T. Harish Rao, the state finance minister, revealed that on the first day, Rs 607.32 crore was deposited in the accounts of 21,02,822 farmers who owned up to an acre of land. The investment support distribution rate is Rs 5,000 per acre. Farmers with up to two acres of land will receive the money on Thursday, while those with up to three acres will receive the funds on Friday. During this season, 1.53 crore acres will receive help.

The chief minister, Revanth Reddy, directed authorities to deposit Rs 5,000 per acre of Rythu Bandhu help for the rabi season into each landowner farmer’s bank account from Monday. On Monday, Revanth Reddy convened a high-level meeting at the Secretariat, during which a decision was reached. Because farmers want immediate assistance and the situation is critical, the Congress administration has decided to introduce Rythu Bandhu during the rabi season. This is due to a lack of time to complete rules for implementing Rythu Bharosa, which includes more recipients such as tenant farmers and agricultural laborers, as the Congress pledged during the election campaign. Rythu Bharosa has vowed to pay Rs 7,500 per acre every season, as compared to Rs 5,000 under Rythu Bandhu.

More than 70 lakh farmers will begin getting around Rs 7,500 crore in phases on Monday, according to Rythu Bandhu. After first announcing the payment in November, the Election Commission of India postponed it at the eleventh hour. As promised by the Congress, the Chief Minister has directed officials to develop a strategy for carrying out the Rs 2 lakh crop loan forgiveness initiative for farmers.

Rythu Bharosa, the most expensive of the six guarantees issued by the Congress, guaranteed farmers and tenant farmers Rs 15,000 per acre and agricultural laborers Rs 12,000 per acre, distributed equally between the rabi and kharif seasons. Even though it was not one of the Six Guarantees, the Congress made a vow in its manifesto to waive agricultural loans up to Rs 2 lakh for farmers. The Congress is expected to cover a larger number of tenant farmers and agricultural laborers, whereas the BRS only assisted 70 lakh farmers who registered on the Dharani portal.
