Full Form of MeitY SAMRIDH is  Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Sustainable Access to Markets and Resources for Innovative Delivery of Healthcare (SAMRIDH). Meity SAMRIDH scheme has been launched by the Central Government to support existing and upcoming accelerators to select and scale up potential IT-based startups. Under this scheme, the central government will provide financial support of upto Rs 40 lakhs to selected accelerators to extend accelerator services to startups. The program will invite applications from existing and upcoming accelerators to partner with MeitY and provide a 6-month startup accelerator program every year.

The accelerator program will provide a platform for new startups where they can scale up their products and secure investment to grow their business. Which will give a boost to the new Startups. Objective Of MeitY SAMRIDH Scheme

Eligibility Criteria

  • The accelerator should be in the business of incubation for more than 3 years.
    The accelerator must have supported at least 50 startups, of which at least 10 have received non-public investment or have at least 3 clusters with activities listed as desirable under Prosperity with experience in running accelerator programs be targeted.
  • The accelerator should be operating in India.
  • The accelerator should have the necessary space and infrastructure to run the activities of the startup.
  • Must have the demonstrable ability with respect to:
    1. Structure Group to accelerate deep tech software product startups
    2. Onboard with Key Business Mentors
    3. Network/Connect with Venture Capitalists/Angel Investors
    4. Supporting startups for domestic and international market immersion

Selection Procedure Of Accelerators

  • Implementing agencies will invite applications from eligible accelerators.
  • The expert committee will select the accelerator and will include representatives from the government, industry, and investors.
  • Priority will be given to those Accelerators who have prior experience in running cohorts.

  • Expert diagnostics for market research and product positioning.
  • Co-learning.
  • Startups are monitored by experts based on tech verticals.
  • Legal Aid for all matters: IP, Cooperation, and other matters.
  • Connected learning, and networking through a shared platform.
  • Weekly meetings between founders of all startups.
  • Demo Day: Presentation with VCs and Angel Investors.
  • Helping startups negotiate with VCs and angel investors and close investment deals.
