To ensure that every child in India gets an education till elementary, the government of India has started the RTE Admission Scheme. Under this scheme, the state government reserves 25% in the school for the students of economically weaker sections and for those families whose annual income is less than Rs 2 lakhs. The government of India has started this scheme, to ensure that needy students get free education so that they do not have to stop studying due to financial issues. TN RTE Admission 2023-24 application will start in April 2023.

Under this TN RTE School Admission, priority will be given to children with disabilities, wards of sweepers, and HIV infected.

  • To provide free elementary education to every child aged six to fourteen years.

  • Under RTE Admission 25% of seats are reserved for the students of economically weaker sections.
  • The Government shall provide free primary education to every child of the age of six to fourteen years which means that students do not have to pay any kind of fee or charges which may prevent them from receiving and completing elementary education.

  • The applicant should be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu.
  • The beneficiary should belong to the economically weaker section, disadvantaged group, disadvantaged group particular category.
  • Priority will be given to disabled children, wards of scavengers, and HIV infected
  • The annual income of the beneficiary family should not exceed Rs 2 lakh.
  • For admission in LKG, the date of birth of the child must be between 31st July 2017 to 31st July 2018
  • For admission in 1st standard, the date of birth of the child must be between 31st July 2015 to 31st July 2016
  • Applicants from Backward caste, MBC, ST, SC-others, SC-arunthathiyar, OC, DNC (Denotified communities), or a social category not disclosed are eligible to apply.

  • Now an application will be displayed on your screen.
  • Fill in all the details asked in the application form such as:

    3. Date of birth
    4. Password
    5. Religion
    6. Community
    7. Mobile number
    8. Email Id, etc.
  • After filling in all the details click on save.
  • Now you will get a successful registration confirmation on the registered mobile number and the application number will be displayed on your screen.

  • Enter your application number, and password and click on login.
