After this, all the selected students will get a 25% reservation for admission to various schools in Gujarat. The Gujarat government is inviting online applications for RTE Gujarat Admission -23. Eligibility Criteria of RTE Gujarat

To avail of this scheme, you have to fulfill the given eligibility criteria as follows-

  • Children must be born between 2 June 2014 to 1 June 2015
  • The annual income of the household must be
    • For ST/ SC- Rs. 2 lac per annum
    • For OBC- Rs. 1 lac per annum

RTE Gujarat Selection Process

After submitting the online application form to the Directorate of Elementary Education, an online lottery system will be used. The result list will be available on the website. Candidates have to log in with their username and password to know the result.

How will the school be allocated?

School allocation will be done as per the priority of the following categories as per the resolution.

1) Orphaned child

2) Child in need of care and protection

3) Children in kindergarten

4) Children in child labor / Migrant labor

5) Children with mental retardation / Cerebral palsy, Children with special needs / Physically handicapped, and handicapped in section 4 (1) All paralyzed children as shown

6) Children infected with HIV

7) Children of military/paramilitary/police personnel martyred during duty

8) Children of BPL families of all categories (SC, ST, SEBC, General, and others) with marks from 0 to 20

9) Children of Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category

10) Socially and Educationally Backward Classes / Other Backward Classes / Nomadic and Liberated Caste Children Nomadic and Deprived Castes should be given priority in admission.

11) If the children of the General Category / Non-Reserved Class have space in the first (1) ranked school of their choice in each category, that school will be allotted.

Which school will I get admission to?

You will be allocated admission according to your category priority income priority and school selection order. If the seats of your choice number 1 school are filled, you will get admission to the number 3 school. If the rank 3 school seats are filled, admission will be given to the other rank school. Thus admission will be allocated to the schools that come slowly.
