National Scholarship Portal is a digital scholarship platform that carries multiple scholarships offered by the central government, state governments, and different government agencies like UGC (University Grants Commission).
The Government of India launched this scheme for all those students who are not able to finance their education.
a digital platform where registered scholarship seekers can apply for more than 50 scholarships worth hundreds of crores from state and central governments, the University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and other government agencies.
It is Introduced as the Mission Mode Project under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP). Offering a SMART (Simplified, Mission-oriented, Accountable, Responsive & Transparent) system for effective and faster disposal of scholarships, the portal ensures direct delivery of funds to the beneficiary’s account thereby avoiding any chances of leakage.
The platform has helped the government implement and disburse scholarships worth more than INR 2,400 crores. The Platform boasts of more than 110 Lakh applications out of which over 85 Lakh applications are verified also.
Last Date to apply for the scholarship is extended to 31st December 2020.

UGC Schemes –
University Grants Commission (UGC) is the Apex body for the higher education system of the Indian government functioning under MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development). University Grants Commission is also hosting some of its scholarships on the national scholarship portal. It is the authority that offers recognition to universities across India and also provides them with funds. The application procedure for the NSP UGC Scholarship has started and the last date to apply for the scholarship is 31st December 2020 (Extended).

AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) is the national-level council for technical education functions under the Department of Higher Education, MHRD. Institute’s Registration Form in National Scholarship Portal

- Now click on “Institute Login”.
- Institute Login Form will be displayed on your screen.
- Fill Following Details –
- Select academic year
- Enter user ID
- Now Enter password
- Enter captcha code
- Click to login into the NSP profile
- Now a dialogue box will appear in which you need to click on the ok option.
- Now a registration form will be open in front of you.
- On the registration form, you have to upload the identity proof of the institute’s Nodal officer.
- you need to click on choose file and select the image. (image should be in PDF or JPEG format and not more than 200 KB in size)
- After that, you need to click on upload identity proof.
- Now you need to enter following required details in the registration form
- AISHE/DISE/NCVT code
- Name of Institute
- Do you want to change the name as per AISHE/DISE directory in NSP?
- Institute nature
- Affiliated board/university name
- Total student strength in the institute
- Institute address
- Institute state
- District
- URL of the institute’s website
- Head of institution detail
- Details of designated Institute Nodal officer for NSP
- An OTP will be sent on the registered mobile number of the Nodal officer of the Institute.
- Enter the OTP in the OTP box and fill all other relevant information
- Before finally submitting the form, Save the entered information by clicking the save form option.
- Click on the final submit.
- After finally submit, a reference ID will be generated and the form will be transferred to district Nodal officer
- Take the printout of the form and submit it to the district Nodal officer.
- The form should be duly signed and stamped.
Update Profile Of The Institute

- Now click on “Institute Login”.
- Fill Following Details –

- Enter user ID
- Now Enter password
- Enter captcha code
- Click to login into the NSP profile
- Now OTP will be sent to the institute Nodal officer’s registered mobile number.
- Enter the OTP and Click on confirm OTP
- Now a page will be open in front of you where you have to reset your password.
- After that, Click on submit.
- Now Click on continue to login.
- The institute Nodal officer is required to update the profile.
- Click on administration. After that click on update profile.
- OTP will be sent on the registered mobile number.
- Enter the OTP and click on confirm OTP.
