The main objective of the Kerala Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the students who have to discontinue their education due to financial problems. By providing scholarships they will be able to continue their education and get a better future.

Post Matric Scholarship For Minorities -NSP Eligibility
  • Students Should be the First Year student of
    i. Plus Two/ UG/ PG/ Ph.D Course of Higher Secondary School/ College/ Institutes/ University, which is either a Govt/ Aided/Recognised Unaided Institution.
    OR
    ii. 11th Class/Technical/ Vocational Course of ITI/ITC Centres affiliated to NCVT.
    OR
    iii. Course, other than those listed in under merit-cum-means scholarship scheme. The names of courses listed under Merit-cum-means scholarship are given in See Instructions for details.
  • Students Should belong to Minority Community (Muslim/ Christian/ Buddhists/ Sikh/ Zoroastrians or Parsis).
  • Applicants have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous Board/ University Examination.
  • The Annual Family Income of the applicant should not exceed Rs. 2 Lakhs.
  • Only 2 students from one family can avail of the benefits of this scheme.
  • The scholarship will be sanctioned as per the criteria set by the Central Government.
State Merit Scholarship -DCE(SMS)
  • Applicant Should be a first-year student of Under Graduate or Post Graduate course in Govt/ Aided colleges or University Departments.
  • Applicant must have scored 50% or above in the qualifying Examination.
  • The annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed 1 Lakh. For Exemption of annual income based on merit, please see the notification.
District Merit Scholarship -DCE(DMS)
  • Applicant must have scored A+ in all subjects in the SSLC Examination March 2018, conducted by the Board of Public Examinations, Kerala State.
  • Applicant must be studying for Higher Secondary / VHSC / ITI / Polytechnic course.
Merit Scholarship to the Children of School Teachers -DCE(MSCT)
  • Applicant should be a first-year student of HSC / VHSC and should have an undergraduate course in Government / Aided Arts and Science College.
  • This scheme is only for the Son/Daughters of Primary/Secondary School Teachers.
Hindi Scholarship -DCE(HS)
  • Students who have taken Hindi as a sub-subject at degree level and as a core subject in Bed / Med / MA / MPhil / Ph.D. are eligible for Hindi scholarship.
Muslim Nadar Girls Scholarship-DCE(MNS)
  • The applicant should be a first-year student of HSC / VHSC and a graduate course in Government / Aided Arts and Science College.
  • Applicant should belong to BPL family and backward community
Sanskrit Scholarship -DCE(SSE)
  • Under this scheme, first preference for students studying Sanskrit as the main subject and next preference for students studying Sanskrit as a subject in the syllabus.
Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship-DCE(SJMS)
  • Applicant should be a first-year student of undergraduate or postgraduate course in government / aided colleges or university departments.
  • Applicant should belong to the BPL family.
  • Applicants must score 50% or more in the qualifying examination.
MGS Renewal(MGS)
  • The applicant should be a native of Kerala.
  • Applicant must belong to the Muslim, Latin, Converted Christian community.
  • The applicant must be a GIRL student studying for the first year of undergraduate or higher courses in a government / aided institution.
  • Students getting admission in self-financed colleges from merit seats are also eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • Applicants must have scored 50% or more in the qualifying examination.
  • The annual income of the applicants’ families should not exceed 4.50 lakhs.
  • Those applying for the hostel stipend must live in recognized hostels.
Blind/PH Scholarship -DCE(BPHFC)
  • Blind/PH/Deaf students studying in government / aided arts and science colleges, music colleges, and government / aided higher secondary/vocational higher secondary schools are eligible for this scheme.
Music Fine Arts Scholarship -DCE(MFAS)
  • Students studying in Government Music Colleges and Government Fine Arts Colleges are eligible for this scheme.

  • Admission and course/tuition fee and maintenance allowance subject to the maximum limit.
State Merit Scholarship -DCE(SMS)
  • Rs 1250 will be provided to the graduation students per annum (300 Nos)
  • Rs 1500 will be provided to the Under graduation students per annum (150 Nos)
District Merit Scholarship -DCE(DMS)
  • Rs 1250 will be provided to the beneficiary per annum.
Merit Scholarship to the Children of School Teachers -DCE(MSCT)
  • For Plus One: Rs.50 per month.
  • For Under Graduate: Rs.50 per month.
Hindi Scholarship -DCE(HS)
  • For Under Graduate students:500per month (180Nos).
  • Post Graduate students: 1000 per month (59 Nos).
Muslim Nadar Girls Scholarship-DCE(MNS)
  • Rs. 125 per annum
Sanskrit Scholarship -DCE(SSE)
  • For Under Graduate Rs.200 per month (55 Nos).
  • For Post Graduate Rs.200 per month (25 Nos).
Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship-DCE(SJMS)
  • Rs. 10,000 per annum will be provided to the students.
MGS Renewal(MGS)
  • For Under Graduates: Rs. 5,000 per annum (3,000 Nos).
  • For Post Graduates: Rs. 6,000 per annum (1,000 Nos).
  • Students enrolled under Professional Courses: Rs. 7,000 per annum (1,000 Nos).
  • For Hostel Stipend: Rs. 13,000 per annum (2,000 Nos).

How To Apply For Kerala Scholarships 2023

To apply for the scholarships you have to follow the given procedures:

  • Now on the home page, you have to click on the Online Registration.
  • Then registration form will open on your screen.
  • Fill in all the details asked in the registration form such as personal details, residential details, Scholarship you want to apply for, etc.
  • And then click on Submit.

  • Then select the Scholarship Type.
  • Now a new page will open.

  • Now you have to select Scholarship Status, Scholarship Type, State, District, Institute Type, Name of the college/ Institute.
  • Now required details will be on your screen.

How To Check The Cut Off Percentage

  • First of all, you have to visit the Official Website.
  • On the homepage, you have to click the cut-off mark percentage.
  • Then you have to select Scholarship, year, and click on Submit.
  • After clicking submit, a PDF file containing all the details will be downloaded.
