Benefits
The Karnataka Labour Card provides a variety of welfare and social security advantages to its employees. Among these benefits are:
- Annual health insurance coverage of up to Rs 2 lakhs for the insured and their family.
- Maternity benefits are available for the first two children, with male children receiving Rs 20,000 and female children receiving Rs 30,000.
- Annual education aid of up to Rs 20,000 is given for children in classes 1–10, and up to Rs 40,000 is offered for students in classes 11 through diploma or graduate programs.
- Employees who have attained the age of 60 and have contributed for at least three years are eligible for a monthly pension of Rs 1,000.
- Accident-related death or permanent disability compensation of up to Rs 5 lakhs, and accident-related partial disability benefits of up to Rs 2 lakhs. Ten thousand rupees for funeral expenses if an employee dies.
- Workers or the children of workers who marry can apply for a 50,000-rupee marriage aid program.
- Housing aid of up to Rs 2 lakhs for home construction or acquisition, or up to Rs 50,000 for home repair or restoration.
Types of Labour Card
