Delhi Nursery Admission 2023

The Directorate of Education, New Delhi has started a new program for the economically weaker sections and disadvantaged children called Delhi Nursery Admission. Under this program government will provide financial aids to eligible candidates. Under the Right to Education Act 2009, there are 25% seats reserved for the students except for the candidates of the General Category. They do not have to pay any kind of examination fees, their education will be free.

Under this program, students get admission for pre-school / nursery, pre-primary (KG and class-1).

There are 17000 private schools in Delhi, where 25% are reserved for nursery admission for the students of economically weaker sections and disadvantaged children and 75% are for the general. Where they will get a chance to get free education in some of the best schools. The selection of the students will be done by the lucky draw.

First list of Delhi Nursery academic session 2023-24 released

NEW UPDATE – Delhi’s 1700 private schools will release the first list on Friday, January 20, for admission to Nursery, KG and Class I for the academic session 2023-24. You can easily check the list by visiting the school website. Along with this, all the schools will also release the waiting list.

Delhi Nursery Admission Reservation And Age Limit

As per the rules, the age of a kid for getting admission in a nursery should be 4 years.
The kid’s age should be 5 years old to get in KG.
And the kid’s age should be 6 years to get affirmation in class 1.
22% of seats are reserved for the students who belong to the Economically Weaker Section and Disadvantaged Class.
3% of seats are reserved for children with exceptional needs.
These students will be confirmed through a centralized process by the Directorate of Education, Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Delhi Nursery Admission, the applicant has to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Only permanent residents of Delhi will get the benefits of this scheme.
The age of the candidate should be 3 years to 5 years for nursery and pre-school. For KG the age should be 4 to 6 years and for class 1 the age should be 5 years to 7 years.
The annual family income of the candidate should be less than Rs 1 lakhs.
The economically weaker sections and the disadvantaged category have a special 25% seat reserved.

Birth certificate.

Now on the home page, you have to click on the Registration for New User option.
Now registration form will be open on your screen.
